Hi,
Dave
C. and some of the other staff at Green Sales may recognize my car from
the photos I have attached hereto – it’s one of three
‘60’s Falcons which were travelling south together from
Canada and upstate New York through the Cincinnati area on July 10,
2012 on our way to the Falcon Club of America National Convention in
Louisville, Kentucky. Since were passing so close to Cincinnati
on our way to Louisville, we had planned a side trip to Green’s
to tour their facility and ironically my car broke just a few blocks
before we got there. Once at Green’s, I determined that the
problem was a broken valve spring and the staff was exceptionally
helpful in helping to provide me with a complete new set of springs,
retainers, and everything else necessary to complete the repairs
– they even helped to recommend a nearby repair garage facility
which would help with the repairs.
After
a delay of one day I got the car to the FCA National Meet where our car
won its class and I have had no further mechanical problems of any kind
since that breakdown (in fact, that’s the only time the car broke
in more than 20,000 miles of driving since I completed the restoration four
years ago).
I
chronicled my adventure for the Falcon Club of America’s monthly
newsletter (the National Falcon News) and that story will appear in the
October, 2012 issue. In my story I mentioned and thanked everyone who
helped me to complete our journey to Louisville (and back home to
Canada) including Green Sales and Dave C. Many thanks again for
taking time to help a fellow gear head with a problem far from home.
There
are many parts on my car which were purchased from Green Sales when I
restored the car (all of which had to be shipped to Canada) and it was
ironic that the car broke down on our way to Green Sales (none of the
broken parts were sourced from Green’s!). I can tell you that if
your car is going to break there is no better place to do so than Green
Sales’ parking lot.
I have
also attached a bit of background info regarding our car as well as the
data plate technical info (in Microsoft Word format).
Best
Regards,
Dave

Dear Darryl,
Just a follow-up here. The part was just what we needed. Our mechanic was impressed with your customer service (actually taking the time to look at my photo and compare it with your parts and finding our part number wrong and giving us the correct one), that he asked me for your contact info for future reference. Hopefully you will get new business from Hometown Auto in Cottonwood, Idaho!
Thanks again for all your help!

Joshua,
Got
the order yesterday evening. Everything arrived w/o
incident. If you have a "want" list, please put my name down for
1ea of the YR3Z6365500AA and the F3TZ1565500AA. Having those will
give me an extra "seat's worth" should I need it in the next 20 years!
Thanks
for the great service. I'll pass the word about Green Sales to my
other old Ford friends.
